When you create an account, request a demo, or contact us:
- Name, email address, phone number
- Dealership name and business address

- Customer and lead information
- Deal records and documents
- Messages sent and received through the inbox
In plain English: we store what you put into the system. That data is yours — we just host it for you.
Automatic data
When you visit our website, we may collect IP address, browser type, pages visited, and device information. This helps us understand usage and improve the product.
How We Use Your Information

- Process payments and send transaction-related communications
- Respond to support requests
- Send product updates and feature announcements
- Analyze usage to improve the experience
- Detect and prevent security issues
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your dealership data (inventory, customers, deals) for any purpose other than providing the service to you.
How We Share Your Information
We only share your data with:
- Service providers (sub-processors) — cloud hosting, payment processing, transactional and dealer-initiated email and SMS delivery, and analytics. They access your data only as needed to provide the service and are bound by written confidentiality and data-protection obligations. See the Sub-processors section for the current list.
- Legal authorities — when required by law or court order.
- Business transfers — if Tetronix Inc. is acquired or merged, your data may transfer. We will notify you.
In plain English: we don't share your data with advertisers, brokers, or anyone who isn't directly helping us run the service.
Sub-processors
Carvio engages a small number of third-party providers to operate the platform. Each is a "sub-processor" that processes personal information on our instructions, under a written agreement requiring appropriate security and confidentiality. The categories of sub-processors we currently use include:
| Category | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Cloud hosting | Application, database, and file storage |
| Payment processing | Billing and subscription payments |
| Email delivery | Transactional and dealer-initiated email |
| SMS delivery | SMS / text messaging to recipients |
| Analytics & monitoring | Product usage analytics, error monitoring |
The current named list of sub-processors — including the specific vendor, processing region, and purpose — is available to dealers on request and under our Data Processing Addendum. We provide reasonable advance notice (through the platform or by email) before adding or replacing a sub-processor that processes personal information.
Messaging & Communications
Carvio offers messaging features that let dealers send and receive emails and SMS with their leads, customers, and prospects through the platform. When a dealer sends a message:
- Message content, recipient identifiers (email address, phone number), sender identification, timestamps, and delivery status are processed by Carvio and routed through the relevant email- or SMS-delivery sub-processor.
- Replies and inbound messages from recipients are received through the same sub-processors and stored on the dealer's account.
- Where a recipient opts out (for example by replying STOP, clicking "unsubscribe," or contacting the dealer), we record the opt-out on the dealer's account so that further messages to that recipient through Carvio are blocked.
Dealers are the controller of the contact data they upload or generate in Carvio and are responsible for ensuring they have a lawful basis to contact each recipient. Carvio acts as a processor for that contact and message data on the dealer's behalf. See our Acceptable Use Policy for the rules dealers must follow when using messaging features.
In plain English: when you message a customer through Carvio, we route the email or text through a delivery provider, log the delivery, store the conversation on your account, and honor opt-outs on your account.
Storage & Security
Data is stored on established cloud infrastructure. All data is encrypted in transit using TLS. We use access controls and monitoring to protect your information.
No system is 100% secure, but we are committed to protecting your data with industry-standard practices.
Data Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. After you cancel, you can request deletion or a copy of your data, and we will delete or anonymize it within a reasonable period unless we are legally required to retain it.
Your dealership data belongs to you. You can request a copy of your data before deletion.
